KIA, Participates in 'KADEX 2024' Defense Exhibition

KIA participate in the "2024 Korea Army international Defense industry EXhibition - KADEX 2024," which will be held at Gyeryongdae, South Chungcheong Province, Korea, where the headquarters of the Republic of Korea's Army, Navy, and Air Force are gathered from Oct. 2 to Oct. 6, to showcase new special vehicles with innovative technologies. KADEX 2024 will be held for the first time this year, with more than 400 companies from 15 countries participating, making it the largest ever Korean ground military defense exhibition.

In this exhibition, Kia will unveil the real life of the ' Kia Medium Tactical Vehicle 6x6 - KMTV' and 'Hydrogen Light All Terrain Vehicle - ATV' for the first time in the world.

Kia Medium Tactical Vehicle 6x6 can be transported with a depth of 1m stream, 60% longitudinal slope and 40% transverse slope driving, 22 troops or 5-10 tons of cargo loaded, securing excellent mobility and transport capability even in rough driving environments. In addition, it has been developed with a platform-based chassis structure and can be manufactured in various forms depending on the purpose of use, and Kia plans to supply the vehicle to the South Korean military from next year.

hydrogen ATV is a eco-friendly race vehicle using hydrogen fuel Cell power source, thereby reducing the risk of increasing the risk and faster than existing internal combustion institutions. ​

In addition, hydrogen ATV is expected to help perform smooth mission performance, such as lightweight cars and operation capabilities based on excellent mobility operations and operational performance capabilities.

Meanwhile, Kia will also display three types of " Kia Light Tactical Vehicle - KLTV" through this exhibition, and the Kia Light Tactical Vehicle are vehicles that help military personnel move safely in various environments based on strong power performance, and are manufactured with a Bear Shashi platform structure, enabling the production of various vehicles for specialized use purposes.

Currently, Kia Light Tactical Vehicle are being exported to various countries such as Southeast Asia, the Asia-Middle East, and Latin America as well as the Armed Forces, and were recently selected as new vehicles in the Polish military vehicle replacement project.

Through this KADEX 2024 exhibition, Kia will also display a forest fire extinguishing vehicle based on small tactical vehicles, an improved ambulance for saving lives in rough areas, and an "AI Convergence Integrated Border System" to improve soldiers' survival.
